Another fantastic afternoon presentation with my OTIS class at the Culver City Senior Center – with the brilliant help of Bernadette Sullivan and Beth Ruscio and Steve Alden Nelson
This class fills my heart every time – watching the students tell the stories of the seniors they interviewed. And the seniors hearing their own stories told to them by these wonderful students. Everyone is beaming. And it’s just really about listening and being heard. Simple. And so beautiful.
From the Culver City Senior Center:
Dusty M. was honored today at Life Changes in collaboration with students from The Otis College of Art and Design. What a story! She spent time as a little girl in an internment camp. Later she became a bowling champion, played with a 16 pound ball and her best score was 297!
